Rills
Sentinel
I just bought Gothic Universe that contains all three versions plus the expansion pack to G2. I will soon install Gothic 1.
I am not a stranger to RPGs: BG1 & 2, NOX, Divine Divinity, Neverwinter Nights 1, Morrowind, etc., but I really don't much about Gothic other than a few things I have read. Gothic Universe doesn't come with any manuals other than what I assume what is included on the disks.
All of the above allowed the possibility of multi-classing or character builds that allowed mixture of several class skills on the game mechanics.
In Gothic, is your hero basically limited to one class? For example, I don't like playing a straight mage, but I really like serious magic being able to supplement my fighter. And if I am a fighter I also like to use ranged weapons.
So my questions are as follows:
1. If I choose to go fighter is it possible to have magic skills and range skills or will I be spreading too thin?
2. In your opinion, what makes for a wise hero build?
Thanks!
