The Fallout 4 Next Gen update is here. We’ve gone hands on with the game on Xbox Series X, with footage of before the patch on the left and after the patch on the right. While the game has received a resolution increase, and seemingly somewhat improved colors and lighting, what is most noticeable is the framerate increase, even on the quality mode displayed here. You can even set the game to performance mode for increased frames as well. Here are several different comparisons, including slowed down footage, in order to best display the differences.

One you get past its slow start, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes mostly succeeds in weaving the stories of multiple countries and characters together into a sprawling epic. Its turn-based combat system operates smoothly, even if other modes like its strategy RPG battles can encourage simplistic strategies over critical thinking. And while collecting and experimenting with its titular hundred heroes can be entertaining, you won’t get to know the majority of them because of how much screen time they need to share with the rest of this bloated cast. Still, there’s plenty of satisfying side quests and castle building to fill in the gaps, which makes Hundred Heroes eventually feel worth the journey.

Moon Studios' No Rest for the Wicked is a Souls-like, survival-lite, town-building, platforming, action RPG with a heavy narrative focus. You may think it just needs farming and co-op to complete the ensemble of genres. Don't worry - those are on the way in subsequent updates.

We are excited to share our latest EXODUS™ Founders Q&A Video, where we solicit questions from our community of Founders, the early adopters who have already shared their belief in us by becoming part of our connected community. Their questions are answered by the Studio Co-Founders, James Ohlen and Chad Robertson, who are excited by the questions as they show how enthusiastic and curious our community is about what we are building with #EXODUSGAME. It is humbling to see this level of enthusiasm so early in the project, and the support we are receiving is greatly appreciated.

I walk through an idea from one of my idea notebooks, explaining how to expand it into a design for setting, story, and system mechanics, as well as how I would pitch it to publishers and how I would evaluate its merits.

Check out the first 15 minutes of Sand Land, the video game adaptation of Akira Toriyama's classic manga from 2000. In this action RPG, you'll dive into an adventure with Demon Prince Beelzebub, Thief, and Sherriff Rao to search for a Legendary Fountain hidden in the desert. With plenty of expanded content based on the original manga, there’s an entire sandy world to see and explore.

What started life as an absolute disaster of a game in late 2018 has turned itself around in remarkable fashion over the years. Fallout 76 has enjoyed consistently solid support from Bethesda with new updates and content additions over the years, owing to which it has built up a sizable and dedicated player base. Recent weeks, in fact, have seen that player base growing at an even faster rate, thanks to the explosion in popularity that the Fallout franchise has enjoyed as a whole courtesy of the success of Amazon Prime's recently released adaptation.

For what early access has to offer, it's worth trying, especially with its different scenario objectives, ranging from peaceful to outright domination and difficulty sliders to customize your experience. Whether or not it caters to others' expectations and offers this sweeping medieval playground or a peaceful city-builder that makes you ponder each decision carefully, Manor Lords is an all-around solid title. Albeit one that needs more time to grow, yet equipped with its own charm and engaging gameplay loop right out of the gate.

SAND LAND is the latest anime adaptation from Bandai Namco, launching on April 26th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. As the Fiend Prince Beelzebub, players embark on a quest to locate the Legendary Spring, putting them at odds with the Royal Army. Though you can run around and punch foes into submission, SAND LAND leans heavily on vehicular combat as you punch through with a tank or stomp around with a Jump-Bot. Other vehicles become available over time, offering even more ways to explore the ruins of humanity. While SAND LAND won't overwhelm you with its side quest design or range of activities, the solid combat and fleshed-out main cast make for a solid, enjoyable journey. Watch our review to learn even more about it.
