3DO

The 3DO Company was based in Redwood City, california and founded by Trip Hawkins. After the failure of the 3DO's video game console they became a third-party video game developer with titles that included Heroes of Might and Magic, Might and Magic as well as many others.

The company filed for chapter 11 bankruptch in May 2003 with the intellectual properties being sold off to companies like Microsoft, Namco, Crave and Ubisoft.
