Ossian Studios Inc. is a developer of top-quality RPG games, having developed two Dungeons & Dragons® fantasy RPGs for the AAA Neverwinter Nights™ franchise. In developing Mysteries of Westgate and Darkness over Daggerford, Ossian has gained a reputation for creating exciting adventures with a focus on role-playing and exploration, as well as a strong attention to detail.
Located in Burnaby, Canada, Ossian Studios was founded in 2003 by Alan Miranda (CEO) and Elizabeth Starr (COO), partners in both business and marriage, and employs the best talent from around the world to work on its games. Ossian the Warrior-Bard
The company name of Ossian Studios was inspired by the legendary Celtic warrior-bard Ossian (awe - seean), who told tales of epic adventures and travelled to the underworld paradise of the Land of Youth called "Tir na n-Og," where warriors feasted, battled, and died, but were reborn again the next day to feast and battle into eternity. The name of Ossian is therefore a perfect fit for a company whose goal is to weave players into tales of epic adventures in far away fantasy places.
