Saints Row: The Third is being remastered and will come out with the new console generation.

We are excited to announce that Saints Row: The Third Remastered will come to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on 22 May 2020. A much-requested addition to the Saints Row lineup, we can't wait to bring that special brand of Saints mayhem to your current generation consoles.

Expertly handled by Spearsoft, the remaster has transformed Steelport's environments, character models and visual effects, along with injecting enhanced graphics and incorporating a new lighting engine to really make the streets of the beloved city shine.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered will include all DLC, remastered of course, that came with the original release of the game 9 years ago, so players will get the full, enhanced, package.

Steelport is your city, these are your rules
- take the Saints further than ever before.

Pre-order now at saintsrow.com ---

Key Features:

The Full Package, Remastered - With enhanced graphics, improved lighting, reworked environments, and visual effects, Steelport and The Third Street Saints have never looked so good.
City of Sin - Disrupt and dismantle the Syndicate stranglehold on weapons, cybercrime, and criminal rackets. Discover the secrets of Steelport, where there is action on every street corner, for better or, more likely, worse.
Weapons of Crass Destruction - It's one thing to defeat your enemies. It's another to humiliate them. Hover jets, human cannonball cars and outrageous melee weapons are all part of the fun.
Crazy Character Customisation - Create the most outlandish characters ever seen, from washed-up celebrities to maskless ninja pirates. Inside every sinner, there is a Saint. Who will you become?
Over The Top Co-op - Fly solo or play online with a homie. Give freefall skydiving a try, landing in your partner's flaming pickup as you make a desperate run toward a heavily armed Syndicate base. Steelport is always more fun with a friend.
All DLC included - All three expansion mission packs and more than 30 pieces of DLC from the original version.
Dominatrix and How The Saints Save Christmas

The earlier titles really require more of a remaster... but I think I remember something about lost source code, or lost licenses, or whatever...

I played through this in co-op mode only a couple of years ago. The current version is fine, not sure it warrants a remaster.
No. 2, which had an awful PC port, now that is what needs a remaster!
@Cacheperl;: lost source code? Aargh, sad if that's true.

Saints Row is another one of those "sorta RPG" games. It's got a strong story, you build up your character, you've got various quests to do... definitely a lot of RPGness here.

Don't really see the need for a remaster. Still the franchise was ruined with the last game set in the same setting Agents of Mayhem. Having said that remasters are popular right now on consoles.

Yeah, but the same could be said for Red Dead 2, Days Gone or Far Cry 4…

That's not that important though (I won't die on that hill, I like SR). It was just weird for me to see a GTA clone here in the RPG news section.

Yeah, that I definitely get. Seems like well over half the games made these days have RPG elements in them!

Wait. Does that mean we won? ;)

Hooray!

Although I think a lot of action/adventures/open-world titles would actually be more enjoyable without progression systems. Most of the time it's just filler.

The progression systems in Saints Row are a bit weak, true.

But I enjoyed the completely over-the-top story. And it has pretty good voice acting, lots of it.
