Jeff Vogel started Spiderweb Software in 1994. Since then, he has made many indie/shareware fantasy RPGs for Windows, Mac, iPad, etc., including the Exile, Geneforge, Avadon, and Avernum series and Nethergate: Resurrection. Video is on YouTube. There are any number of free online services for ripping the audio from YouTube videos and making mp3s. Just google for "youtube to mp3".

Yeah, using sharetube. But that always comes with quality loss. Also it would be a shame if a podcast format is only available on youtube. Waste of potential.

Was a very interesting interview. He talked a lot about the beginnings, including how he started, how he first distributed the game as shareware, how the first payments worked, and what a pain in the ass it was, how much steam helped to make things easier, that he trusts steam a lot and how it worked that he was able to put his game on steam.
