Well, I still don't know what to think of it.
Part of that video could be seen during the Games Com.

Another hack'n slash with meaningless stats and quests ?

Where are the dialogs, deep quests, ... ?

This is clearly an action game with slight RPG elements. Could still be fun for inbetween more serious stuff. Borderlands was fun, too.

I somehow like that narrator approach commenting. This lets the furry have its own ferret language. The color scheme they chose gave me eye cancer, though.

Also lol, I first thought you'd have to wack the wheelchair person, hehe!

It sucks. This looks like it'll be a very boring action game. I played enough of them for a lifetime

I didn't. If it's an action game without excessive repetitiveness, I say bring it! Especially if AI is at least halfdecent.

But if it's "let's grind because grinding is life" then it can rot.

I have the suspicion that this "narrator" could be the green locust you sometimes see very briefly. I think he or she might be a friend or mentor of the "Biomutant".
And yes, I like his or her own language. Sounds a bit … irritating, though.

The overall theme reminds me a bit of that animal adventure game … "Inherit The Earth" … But "Biomutant" is clearly some kind of "heavy metal version" of it.

There is a Yin-Yang system that affect the game outcome and some of the quests you can get (similar to KoTOR, Jade Empire or Mass Effect).

The gameplay shown at Gamescom was the starting tutorial tweaked to show more mutations and combat combos.
