The update is a dud. With a couple of good things, otherwise would be completely disappointing.
But I will thumb the news up because you linked Enviosity vid.
For those who don't play this lootboxes ridden product - Enviosity is perhaps the only youtuber who dared to stream complex fights with only characters everyone got by default for free and proven what we were saying here previously- you don't need to pay a single dime to complete everything in the game.
Additionally, this patch adds a certain new boss that is very hard for majority of characters - but trivial for a character named Noelle everyone got for free.

Hard fight -> 3 of my characters nearly die -> Noelle: Let me finish this boss and heal you all while I'm doing this
