I really wanted to like the first one....

I quite liked Innocence, though I can't say it was a great game per se, being very linear, railroaded and limited. I guess Amicia made for a relatable protagonist and the story was interesting, with a narrative akin to Last of Us, if a bit too much into the esoteric to my tastes near the end.

I'll keep an eye on it, regardless.

I really liked the first one for what it was, a short action-adventure game with just about the right amount of gameplay variation to support its well told story and its small scope. If you are expecting an open world game or rpg, or a game which depends on its excellent gameplay to keep your interest you will be disappointed, but thats not what the game is shooting for.
