I skipped playing the second demo and can't wait to play the finished version.
I'll play the next demo to see if there's any improvement in all the QoL issues, because they were the same as the first demo and I'm concerned they won't change any of that. If I have to listen to those stupid barks all the time, there's no chance I can survive the first act (and I'm no more American than the devs, but those accents seem more caricatural than genuine).I skipped playing the second demo and can't wait to play the finished version.
Based on the various videos and feeback on this site seems the game is in need of a few changes. Though given it's still a year out till release the developer has time to fix them.
Biggest problem might be budget and team size. It's a niche indie game.

Agreed, plenty of time for more patches to land and further updates to make the game even better. It often pays to wait these days. And it might be a niche product, yet word of mouth can quickly balance that in favour of the creator these days.
His channel was shut down due to being hacked. Don't know when it'll be back up.
