Age of Wonders 4 got a new update:

Age of Wonders 4 - Mystic Update 1.2

Enthralled Godir,

As you may have experienced recently, the Mystic 1.1 Update and subsequent Hotfix have not been as stable as we wanted them to be. We apologize for this and we will aim to do better in the future! Today's Mystic 1.2 Update addresses the majority of crashes that have been reported as well as some issues in AI Behaviour.

As it stands, there is more work to be done. We are planning a Mystic 1.3 Update with which we aim to address lingering issues as well as some of the balance feedback we've received. It's key that we take our time for this, so no date has been set yet.

You can read all about the Mystic 1.2 Changes below, and please report any issues or feedback you have. May your Pantheon's thrive.

Seems problems arise when they start adding DLCs. The only DLC I want to add is Dragon Dawn which shouldn't cause problems since its been out a while. Still going to wait a bit.

I have been playing lately with the new DLC (great one btw) and haven't noticed any game breaking bug.

The game is a lot of fun. I really love the faction design aspect in which you can pick your race, traits and culture, focus on some feature and roleplay it as you wish. I have played lately a construct based feudal culture which benefits from staying together in formation. It lacks in the damage dealing side but that's part of the roleplay.

My only gripe with the game is that AI is very passive in general. Once you are on top of the expansion and development curve they will hardly attack you or put you in any predicament whatsoever, and the endgame takes longer than necessary when there is really no opposition. Oh and they will also hate to to their guts just because you are better than them.
In any case I see this installment in the series more oriented to the RPG of your own faction than on the strategic/tactical part, which has very good fundamentals too, but rarely matter due to passive AI.

DLCs are great too and add way more variety to the game which is what is all about. There is also a lot of mods which look awesome, especially those related to new magic tomes which open up new option for designing and developing your faction.
Need to try some of those later.

By the way I think most complaints come from multiplayer which is mired with synchronization issues and crashes.
