Baldur's Gate 3 - Cast discuss their Career

I think that's probably true for most actors in general. Plus AI is here so it probably sucks to be a voice actor these days.

Some voice performances are excellent in the game. Also someone sober at insane Larian should have convinced them to create an AI-controlled facial mimicry system, which essentially creates top notch emphasized facial emotional expressions. Because ATM all characters ridiculously lack any. Famous NPCs only have the most imperceptible shallow basic minimal expressions. AI should be enslaved to generate facial mimicry.

This game could have been absolutely amazing if they built in professional facial emotional feedback. Like what you see on Gollums face. Also Agent Smith in The Matrix (1999) could crumple his face very excellently in all kinds of super funny wrinkles, while he simmered on about how he hates humans because they STINK! :D :D Those were excellent face muscle animations. AI should be made to do those correctly.
But I guess its much easier to teach stupid AI to steal images and destroy game developer jobs nowadays..
