Seems Witcher III is still selling well months after it's release.:celebrate:

Seems you have an issue with me once again, care to get the cards out on the table?

Edit, to be more clear I thought you were still staff and was put off on you liking a inflammatory post which would seem to imply the site supports that view point.

Note, I didn't say the CDProjekt was bad or even undeserving I just pointed out the hypocrisy.

You could write an enciclopedia about issues that every Bethesda game had, still has and that they DIDN'T even bother to fix.

Irrelevant. Deflection isn't an argument. The point is I backed up what I said with links and facts showing the Witcher 1 did have serious issues. You called me out for exaggeration, but you have failed to disprove or even address my point.

Are you ready to admit that Witcher 1 Enhanced Edition did, in fact, fix VERY serious issues? If you can't even admit that...then I question your impartiality. But since I'm merciful, I will accept your forthcoming apology. :)

The witcher 1 was a very different beast then the other two. It was definitely interesting at the time and built on a heavily modified NWN engine. It was clearly not of the level of the sequels though. I was unsure at the time if they would be as good as they are today.

EDIT: It is interesting to note that Skyrim in the previous posts is still selling better then some games ever do....talk about staying power.

Want to know what else is Irrelevant? Pretty much your entire post.

This award is about 2015, and you're bringing up stuff from years ago that has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Of course CD Projekt deseves Dev of the Year award and they are getting it for many good reasons:

- releasing huge AAA game, best in years, completely DRM-free on day 1 (literally nobody else does this)
- giving owners of previous games significant discouts and bonuses
- providing 16 free small DLCs after release, some great, some less great, but all free (and no, they were not ripped from the main game. If they wanted to include them in the game, game would have to be delayed)
- releasing one of the best expansions for very cheap, 10 dollars
- adding more bonuses in the standard retail box than literally anyone else
- no stupid preorder DLC exclusive to certain shops
- adding features players asked for quickly (more responsive movement, chest, new game + etc etc)
- I could go on

Now, it is obvious to anyone with the brain that CDP does these things not just because they like serving their customers and building good will, but ALSO because they realize that building good will result in good business. It has both "being good" and "being good business" reasons behind it. And we should applaud the fuck out of that, especially in this industry where every other large publisher wants to fuck us six ways from sunday and doesn't care about good will or treating us like people instead of cash cows.

Geez, totally forgot about this EA and Ubi imbecillic practice. What's even worse, you can't get those anyhow today as there are no dr. pepper or whatever cretinous decision by EA/Ubi CEOs codes.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. I'm glad we could all come together on this thread and share our love for RPGs! (We all totally agree on everything, right?!?)

I apologize to joxer and Bobo for being hard on you guys. I like to think if we knew each other in real life we'd get along. Internet talks are difficult!

Anyway, happy new year. I wish everyone the best in 2016. May we play many more amazing RPGs! (Um, yes, Dragon's Dogma comes out Jan 15, Brumbek! It is going to be EPIC beyond any EPICNESS ever measured!)

PS: Brumbek, this post is totally off-topic. ;)

I'd add that they also allow their game assets to be used by modding community from other games ( something not even Bethesda allows) and have very fair, consumer friendly, prices adjusted to local currency.
It simply seems petty and childish that two mistakes they've made are louded over by some people, over everything else they've done.
This is bizarre...I get why people blather on about GOTY's...you play a game, you get emotionally attached and then you yell about it to random strangers over Internet.
But in this case, CDPR's BUSINESS model could potentially benefit the whole industry...there is nothing here to argue about.

Yawn, the childish insult again.....if people have issues with things you stating they are being childish comes across as being a dick and childish yourself...

People can be objective and call a spade a spade plus like the other moves they made you know. We don't just blindly chant a matra of following.

Well, maybe you should roll with it and give our mantra a try. It would do wonders for your cynicism. ;)

What cynicism....I like the game....I own it. I don't worship it however.
