First game was decent but the endings were terrible.

The sequel looks to be more of an RPG though.

Actlooks great, but the game title is retarded. as if it is a lite version.
They actually had a different name before Russia started their invasion.

As the developer is Ukrainian.

I think it looks very average. They're obviously trying to capitalize on the popularity of the Stalker series, but it's not on the same level.

meh, Stalker 2 is much more intriguing to me. This looks like Stalker - lite version. I guess its in the games name for a good reason...

Chernobylite could be word like Israelite, which has nothing to do with 'lite'.
That is always what I assumed as one i.e. Someone who lives in Chernobyl.

RPGWatch discussion can sometimes go in surprising directions. :)

Really? Why? Im interested.
I remember first game as pretty decent with some sci-fi / mystery idea about planewalking or something.

The sequel looks to be more of an RPG though.
Yes, devs said its ARPG now. With survival mechanics that remains from the first game.

Let me rephrase that the endings are lackluster, and just like most other games they sometimes feel like a huge letdown. I'm curious what ending is now cannon?

Chernobylite is the name of the fictional radioactive substance in the game which fuels interdimensional portals, among other things.
The first game did really well. I think the attraction was the laser-scanned Chernobyl/Pripyat environment. Everywhere you go is supposed to be a very close representation of the actual RL environment.
