Why you should play Cyberpunk 2077 in 2022 - XfireAs we've come to expect from the Borderlands team, the franchise's first major spin-off is an exciting tonal deviation for the long-running looter shooter.
Now, hear us out - this doesn't excuse CD Projekt RED in any way. The 2020 title is still the poster boy for overhyped games that underdelivered. You know how bad and buggy your game is when it scares Bethesda Softworks enough to delay its first new IP in years because it didn't want to suffer the same fate. But, you have to give CDPR props - it navigated a PR disaster and is starting to earn back the trust of fans.
We'll probably never play ES6 till 2030.The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition could be coming soon to the Nintendo Switch. The Taiwanese rating board appears to have rated the game; the rating was then removed, but not before the website Switch Brasil grabbed the below screenshot.

For the King II Announced Release in 2023 - SteamLast summer we took on a game dev contract to help finance the game. Plan was it would be half on Archmage and half on client work. This quickly expanded to everyone on contract. Then we had to hire more people. There are big risks to companies, most fail, because they grew too fast. I think we've done it well but only time will tell.
For The King II builds on the challenging blend of Strategy, JRPG Combat, and Roguelike elements from the hugely popular and successful co-op sensation, For The King, to create an epic new experience!

Average RPGs with Great Endings - TheGamerThanks for checking out our MythForce interview series!
These interviews will highlight some of the talented folks behind MythForce and delve into their inspirations, favorite games/cartoons, and much more. Our first interview is with the boss man himself- Beamdog CEO Trent Oster.
Trent is a BAFTA Award-winning veteran of the games industry. One of six original co-founders of BioWare, he worked there as a Technical Artist, Programmer, and Project Director, leading the development of the award-winning Neverwinter Nights from a one-sentence description through two expansion packs and over five million units sold. After a stint as the Director of Technology at BioWare, Trent left in 2009 to co-found Beamdog with Cameron Tofer.
Interview with Senior Writer Olga Moskvina - DigimancyMost RPGs fall in the middle of this quality spectrum, and while these average RPGs have their flaws, that doesn't make them less worth playing. Though either buggy or unremarkable, these RPGs shine when it comes to their stories, especially in their explosive endings.
Could you please share with us what your writing process looks like? And what are some of the things that you do to keep yourself growing and evolving as a writer?
My writing process really depends on the task and expectations. Something people may not think about when they imagine a day in the life of a video game writer is how much time one spends on documentation, as opposed to dialogue and other in-game text. Creating worldbuilding documents requires a lot of ideation and research, so that's where one starts—and hopefully doesn't get stuck for too long. Writing dialogue is another beast entirely, and there's also variation depending on what the goals are, how much direction one was given, whether it's a location description, object interaction, or conversation with an NPC. For locations, I may start by visualizing the place as the PC would experience it on arrival, really imagining myself there physically—sights, sounds, smells. For NPCs, I have to figure out the voice first, hear it in my head.

How Starfield Could Adopt Bethesda's Open-World Formula - GamerantIt's been a year since Solasta 1.0 launched on Steam, and what a great year it was! From adding the Sorcerer, Barbarian, Druid & Half-Orc, to increasing the level cap from 10 to 12, to adding Quests, Dialogs, Monsters & Items Editors in the Dungeon Maker, to releasing a full new campaign with Lost Valley.
But we're not done quite yet! And that's why as we've always done in the past, we want to hear your opinion to make sure we're creating the game both with you and for you, so take the short survey now!

Dragon's Dogma 10th ASnniversary Website raises a lot of Questions - PCGamerBased on recent trailers and teasers, Starfield appears to be a game focused on exploration. The Settled Systems is a huge expanse of space with plenty of factions both friendly and hostile residing within it. Moreover, the player character is a member of Constellation, an organization devoted to solving the mysteries of the solar system. As such, players will likely explore the uncharted reaches of the Settled Systems in hopes of uncovering its secrets.
This all sets the expectation that Starfield's open world will be huge, with plenty of interesting landmarks and locations to discover. In doing this, the game can take notes from Bethesda's open-world formula.
What's less clear is why Capcom would put so much effort into celebrating a mostly dormant series. There was a Dragon's Dogma MMO that never came west, and an anime (opens in new tab) that wrapped up in late 2020, but otherwise there's been nothing.

Sony reveals PC sales for God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn & Days Gone - DSOAs you probably noticed, we just refreshed our Steam page a bit, uploading a bunch of new in-game shots from the latest build we delivered in the morning. Shots come along with a brand new key art, showing a new Alaloth too: he wears a mask now and it's way more lethal than before! We had a rework of the boss here time ago and we were planning to share this since a long time. This is just one of the many things we've iterated on the way, both tech & lore related. As we said recently, there is so much stuff to show after the long silencethat we literally spent last weeks trying to figure out the best scenario to send out everything with a ratio, while dealing with all the biz-related stuff that is directly connected with the release of the game. Well, we can say that despite the fact that we had to squeeze in just a couple of weeks, work usually done in months,we have finally an idea of the next stepsthat we'll bring us to the day in which we are going to pushthe green button. The plan is not complete 100% but hey, the path is set and it's like fresh air for us.

Crafting the flora of Broken Roads - Games WebsiteI am old and slow, and the games industry moves very quickly. Thus a new trend can easily take over the entire industry for years without my even noticing. Then I find out about it and get shocked and startled and everyone justifiably mocks me.
While I was recently chatting on Discord with some young gamer friends (I'm not entirely out of it), they got really excited about something. Turns out, a new set of guns were about to be released for the shooty-game Valorant. These new guns will have fish on them.
Queen's Wish 2 May Update - KickstarterOur VFX and Technical Artist, Ryan Gee, does a lot of work to breathe life into our representations of Western Australia. In this blog, he discusses differences in vegetation from one end of the Wheatbelt to the other, how he created a tool to paint the correct biomes and unique wind patterns onto existing levels, and how he uses a "non-destructive" workflow to make collaboration between departments as easy as hitting "regenerate".
Greetings, backers! Just a quick update to let you know where we are with your game and rewards!
The story of the game is done! We’re only a few days from the game being actually complete. We’ll be testing and tweaking it for a couple months before release in (most likely) August. It’s great news to be this close to the end of the journey, though configuring everything for a game release is a daunting job. Lots of online stores to configure and lots of tricky problems to solve. We’re not expecting any delays, though.
We have sent out the first set of backer surveys. If your reward tier included your name in the credits or you ordered a map or certificate, you should have received an email. If you haven’t, check your spam filter. If you ordered a physical object, we need your address. If you’re in the credits, we want to make sure you’re listed the way you want to be listed.
We are getting close to being able to start beta testing for high end backers. We are also putting together a demo for Steam Next Fest in June. Showing our game to so many new people is exciting but kind of scary. We hope you like it!
That is all for May. Thank you again for your support, and we’ll have an actual playable game in your hands soon. Enjoy a brand new screenshot below.
How Spiders Is Making Its BioWare Dreams Come True With GreedFall 2 - IGNThe files, which have been widely circulated on social media, were reportedly datamined from a recent game patch and appear to suggest that the DLC will follow Songbird, a character that was previously datamined from the original game, and features a finished model.
It's claimed that the files aren't complete, with several side missions using placeholder text, but the leak appears to confirm that the expansion will include seven main missions.
According to Reddit users, the expansion will take players to the Combat Zone, an area of the Pacifica region which was inaccessible in the base game but did feature in the art book, The World of Cyberpunk 2077.
Now is the perfect time to start playing Genshin Impact - PolygonJehanne Rousseau, CEO of French developer Spiders, loves BioWare games. She, along with her development team, love BioWare games so much that Spiders informal mission is to make character-rich RPGs during a period when BioWare just isn't.
"We are all fans of these types of games, so I guess [the reason Spiders decided to make BioWare-style RPGs] was partly out of our frustration, because we couldn't play these types of games again, she says. "Because [BioWare] was a huge influence to us we really wanted to be able to develop those kinds of games."
The results of that passion haven't always been successful, but with each new game Spiders has honed its understanding of both BioWare DNA and its own house style. 2013's Mars: War Logs was a ropey tribute to Mass Effect, but by 2019 Spiders had its own accomplished answer to Dragon Age in the form of GreedFall. Encouraged by its biggest success so far, Spiders is now hard at work on a sequel, the recently announced GreedFall 2: The Dying World.
At times, Genshin Impact can feel like an endless to-do list. There are three sprawling regions, character-focused story missions, and world quests that ask you to scour the land for specific items. There’s also the gargantuan task of collecting characters and optimizing your party to counter a plethora of elemental enemies. Suffice it to say, Genshin Impact can be a lot. But thanks to a recent content drought, now is a great time for new players to dive in.
Top 12 Bethesda Games, Ranked Worst to Best - ScreenRantThe Fallout series is known for allowing its players to create a character of their own as they traverse the post-apocalyptic wasteland. They're free to build on that character's strengths, beliefs, and overall personality.
That said, there are a few pre-established aspects of each title's protagonist, and these differ across the franchise. In discussing each Fallout protagonist, it's important to consider their established background as well as what they set out to do in the game. The canon endings (or what is most likely the canon ending) of the games main quests will also be mentioned. This will provide a general view of each player character and how they differ.
Mediocre JRPGs That Are Worth Playing Just For Their Endings - GameRantBethesda has been glorified for its numerous RPGs and first-person shooters that have gained very high scores and positive game reviews. Needless to say, it has one of the biggest fan bases for so many prolific and successful game titles and is still considered one of the most relevant videogame companies of all time. When it comes to innovative maps, gameplays, visuals, and storylines, Bethesda is the place to go for a lot of players.
I, The Inquisitor is a dark fantasy RPG Witcher vibes with mean Jesus - RPSMuch like beauty, mediocrity is in the eye of the beholder, and, when it comes to Japanese RPGs, fans can often be a forgiving bunch. This is because when it comes to the games, the story and characters will usually take priority over gameplay mechanics and pacing issues that can arise from a lengthy experience.
Just imagine for a moment what the world would’ve been like if Jesus, rather than forgiving us for our sins on the cross, had rolled out of the tomb with a proper nark on instead. That’s the basis of Polish author Jacek Piekara’s series of novels, now set to become third-person action adventure I, The Inquisitor, from developers The Dust. Somebody probably ought to consult the Archbishop of Canterbury for the PEGI rating, like. Watch the trailer below.

Diablo Immortal Pre-Launch Q&A - WccftechWe recently had a chance to speak with Hidetaka Miyazaki, the longtime From Software Director who has been instrumental in bringing games like Dark Souls, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring to fans all over the world. He gave us some insight into how Elden Ring was designed, which bosses were his favorite, and how to cope with the nightmarish Fingercreepers.
Diablo Immortal, set between the events of Diablo II and Diablo III, will be a franchise first in many regards. It's the first installment to feature a free-to-play business model and the first to include full-fledged MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) elements such as clans, raids, and a complete slew of PvP activities. Moreover, Diablo Immortal will be the most accessible title in the series yet when it comes to controls on PC since it includes the traditional click-to-move, the brand new WASD, and controller compatibility.
Ahead of this highly anticipated launch, we were able to interview Game Director Wyatt Cheng to look back at the game's announcement, reflect on the current state at launch, and get a glimpse of what's coming next.
