Crimson Desert - BlackSpace Engine Demo

Every year we're one step closer to gaming in the matrix. The wave and turbulence demos were pretty cool.

Yes, waves are great and some scenes have vibes of fantasy version of KDC. :)

But the scene at 1:01 looks weird because of camera angle. Its like the hero is a giant and his shadow is incorrect. :)

It's an odd contradiction between the environment and the models. The former looks great, but the latter look kind of dated to me.

To me, the models look too clean and undamaged. There were no distressed textures that I could see, showing the effects of wear and aging. Nor was there any dirty cloth or stained tables. But I don't think that was the purpose of the demo.

Well it's showcasing the engine. If you want game-play check the other news-bits.

Looking great! I'm really liking the art style. It's giving me dusty Dragon's Dogma vibes. Not an overabundance of saturated colors. Looks like a mature game (which is refreshing for big-hit RPGs for a change!)

Doesn't surprise me as it's the same engine from their MMO Black Desert.

I seriously hope you won't need an online connection and account to play SP.

As this game has been delayed and rebooted multiple times.

There was a rumor that you will need hero in Black Desert at least on 40th level to play this game...

Funny but I call bullshit. The problem is the developers aren't forthcoming about that issue. We all know having SP means different things to many developers and players.

It's hilarious when server-based online games claim they are SP. :rotfl:
