I honestly can't see much from either game in Crimson Desert.
Dragon Dogma is party-based RPG where each character has a traditional Tank/Healer/DPS role to work in cohesion. The similarity must be that you kill monsters in action combat, which doesn't sound like an incredibly exclusive feature to have in a videogame.
As for the Witcher, I guess the similarity is in the brainless buttonmashing type of combat, but I can't see this game having emphasis on what The Witcher 3 is about - its worldbuilding and storytelling.
I guess the article is just trying to find a quick way to give people an idea of what the game is about by using names of popular, successful games that most people have played or at least know about, which is fair enough, but might as well say that the game is "Assassin's Creed meets Elden Ring" and it'd be just as incorrect and meaningless.
