Crimson Desert - Gameplay

It's cool to finally see some organic gameplay of this. I think most of the footage I'd seen previously looked scripted.
The stamina meter floating next to him like that is...odd? I assume the idea is that the player never has to take their eyes off the character, but I find it quite distracting.

Japanese and Chinese developers sure do love twitch combat it seems.

Between that and the trailer below, I'm not certain why it;s called Crimson Desert. Not much desert, let alone a crimson one. ;P

Well the first MMO was called Black Desert as well. Guess it's a theme.

Yep same developer but they claim this version will have a SP campaign.
They haven't said if it will be a server side game yet though.
It also looks like the graphics were slightly downgraded since that trailer.
Slightly? I would say seriously. Nothing about that looked fun to me. Not a Dark Souls fan at all or pattern based combat.

I liked combat shown in the trailer, but I will need to see other parts of gameplay to decide if its something for me. Anyway, if its some kind of MMO with SP campaign mode, its unlikely I would be interested.

We don't really know though as it might very well be a SP game but require you to log on to a server just to play the game. So it might not even be offline guess we'll see.
It was originally planned as a prequel to Black Desert Online, so it started out with multiplayer in mind. It's been repeatedly stated that it's single-player now though. They haven't confirmed co-op, but I suspect it'll be there in some form.
Yes but many developers claim their game is SP while technically its not.
If you need to play off an online server just to play the campaign that's not SP.
