What's weird is the press is not calling it an RPG anymore.

Check out this boss battle gameplay against Hexe Marie in Crimson Desert, the upcoming open-world third-person action-adventure game developed by Pearl Abyss.

IGN date says its new but more likely it's another re-upload of the old video.

This game keeps looking like the typical generic and bland Asian single-player mmo mockup, but not being labelled an RPG at least makes me more accepting of it. It will probably be decent for those who enjoy this kind of thing.

Well I call foul as it's been treated and announced as an RPG for years.

Seems this developer can't decide what game they want to develop.

I've never seen it marketed as an RPG. It's own website says "Open-World Action Adventure". It might be referred to as an RPG on gaming sites that have covered it, but that's on them.

Then I suppose Witcher 3 which the developer claims inspired it wasn't an RPG?

Also I'm trying to be humorous here and not really serious.

BTW, did you hear AAA games are struggling for some reason?!

Funny but so damn true in the last year of gaming it seems.

Reading soicial media, forums, and Reddit is hilarious though.

In all fairness though it's developers that can't keep their political opinions separate from the projects, and the entire internet falling for grifters who monopolize on the outrage.
