Crimson Desert - Gamescom 2024 Demo

I was starting to think Crimson Desert was vaporware. Good to hear it'll be there and actually playable.

If this turns out to be anything more than a plain button-masher co-co-co-combo breaker type of game I'll be surprised.

We'll see what they show at Gamescom.

Didn't look that bad with the past gameplay trailers.

My only concern is weather it will be another SP online server game.

Yes, but better than DD imho, especially graphically. On the other hand we dont know how they are able to put all those little ideas together. The last gameplay trailer was one of the best from last Gamescom presentations.

My only concern is wether it will be another SP online server game.

Yes. And we still dont know which or how many MP elements will be there (instances for co-op).

I do think it looks really good from a visual standpoint, but I'm still somewhat skeptical of the game overall. This will only be the second non-mobile game from this developer, and I didn't care for the gameplay in Black Desert when I tried it.

I see. I dont have high expectations regarding quests or very deep world either. Nevertheless it still could be competent open world game with some interesting ideas and charm... and very good visuals.
Maybe I could compare it to SW Outlaws - it will have/could have a charm of SW world and a solid story but I assume that many ppl dont expect deep gameplay or competent AI from Ubi here.
