Crimson Desert - New Demo at Gamescom

Whats this the fifth or sixth time now they had a demo at Gamescom?

Meh that's what happens when development is slow for 7-10 years.:rotfl:

Yeah, I wish they'd release a public demo on Steam, etc. They're either not confident enough or maybe there are technical reasons. I really want to try this and see how legit it is.

Appeared to be interesting video with the hero looking like transforming into some crow then the dragon rider? flying animation. But then they completely bork up this video with crazy hard to make out idiotic "power" effects.

Demos have been the rage for quite awhile, but the games I want to try the most rarely seem to get them.

OR is it what happens when development is FAST for 7-10 years?

Bet you 99% of the time if you asked any game developers if they'd like more time to polish things they'd say yes.

This development is a bit of a strange one because there's no publisher pressure and it's all just being funded by whatever Black Desert makes.

If you look at something like Star Citizen that has an incentive to take a long time because "crowd funding" is the business model then you have reason to be suspicious at the long time it's taking. But CD has nothing like that going on.

There's really no way to know if they're going slowly or if the game is just massive and actually coming along very smoothly.
