Cyberpunk 2077 - 30 Million Units sold

Not bad despite the bad launch. Though it seems only a fraction of those thirty million bought the expansion. Looking forward to playing the Witcher remake and sequel.

Impressive, but The Witcher 3 is still king with around 50 Million copies sold.

I'm glad Cyberpunk 2077 did well. Despite the problems, it's a solid game, and it fills a niche. There are so few RPGs with any kind of cyberpunk setting.

Good on them, they did a great job with the reboot/relaunch. I never finished it, but I had in mind checking it out sometime in the future.

I'd love to see CDPR try their hand with a CRPG, that could be pretty fantastic.

Woo hoo! Close to 40 million copies sold combined for Cyberpunk 2077 and it's well received and reviewed expansion is nothing to sneeze at! I heard they are doing what no doubt will be highly anticipated future games, both in the Witcher and Cyberpunk settings.

The game really grew on me and I love the atmosphere. Its now one of my top three games of all time I have played. I would have liked another one but it feels one of a kind currently. I still play it.

I'd really love to see a Shadowrun game done this well.

Cyberpunk is great (I've got the original 1.0 version of the Cyberpunk RPG on the shelf next to me) but I've always felt not having fantasy tropes available in the character's toolbox a big minus.

Happy to see that it's done well.

Of all the Witchers, the one I less liked was witcher 3, the 2 being my favorite. Normally I prefer more compact experiences. Now I am playing Cyberpunk and I think it´s the better of them all. I´m really enjoying being lost in Night City. The main quest line is awsome, some of the side quests are better than lots of games out there. For the first time since I play open world games, this one is the best. The city really feel´s alive in ways I never felt in GTA of DRD2. I never play DLC´s, but I after I finish the main quest I´ll buy Phantom Liberty.

As a secondary post, I just can´t understand why developers will not use the base game (city and character perks and development) and just create another story in Night City. Cyberpunk has most of it´s bugs and character development Ironed Out. So making Cyberpunk 2 in the same City with the same engine would be much cheaper. Create another awsome tale, a new protgaonist, expand some concepts like the BD´s would be much quicker, needed less people and would be almost bug free. win win for everyone.

One of the top-3 best gaming experiences I've had, and despite finishing it twice, I still get an itch to go back to all the time. It's a special game.

It's too bad they closed down any further content. Now that they've fixed it, they could've kept expanding in so many ways vs making us wait 10 years for a sequel... It still looks and plays better than anything I've seen released since.

Me as well and I believe that was the plan for HBS. Seems those plans have collapsed though due to MS, and the costs involved. MS did try in the past but game was not good.

yes visuals sell i guess cos no way it's gameplay.
Correct as visuals sell more then game-play nowadays.

Just read comments on most game announcements. People now buy a PS5 pro and every game they bought already for graphic improvements. It's quite sad really.:tears:

I don't think doing that would satisfy CDPR or most fans. Besides, they'd be lambasted if all they did was take the same map and create a new story for it.

I imagine the sequel will be in Night City but mostly in parts that weren't featured in the first game.

I don't have high hopes for Cyberpunk 2 since it's made by a different studio. Hope I'm wrong.

Agreed, but it´s just a waste of a good setting. NC is so big and can always be improved with minimal effort. Did anyone tried this in the past, I mean getting a really good setting and improve on it instead of making a new one? I don´t know what percentage of time has gone into creating NC. IF it´s 90% it would be worth the experience, if it´s 10% then maybe it isn´t worth the risk.

Gothic 2 none other(as far as i know) had the balls and the insight to reuse a perfectly good map and engine and fill it up with new quests and all sorts of good things and change it a bit you can always add new zone to it...

Games could be way way better gameplay wise if more devs did this. We could finally get next gen games.

Too much time is wasted on making huge maps instead of making gameplay and story more immersive - interactable.

IF they did that with Cp77 i would actually buy it, as is i will not... Cos that was one of my main gripes... How empty and immersion breaking the city was in alot of places..

Clearly large parts of it were never finished, I'm one of those people that likes to explore the game world and not just follow the main story...

Same studio but new branches opened in Canada and Boston.
I am not from America, but changing Dev´s to American ones because of Hydrants and Light poles? Not starting a politics war in here, but I want a good immersive game and cyberpunk Universe and lately US games/entertainment industry are pushing and agenda that is harmfull to games, hope CD projekt don´t let that happen. lately the games I like the most are from eastern/central Europe, their view of fun is more similar to mine.
