Cyberpunk 2077 - Phantom Liberty - First Anniversary

Wow, already?
Loved it; wish they were doing another.
Technically they are but it's a sequel called Project Orion, and made with the latest Unreal Engine. Also being developed by a new studio in America, and years away from release.

Still yeah I would have loved more story DLC but that shipped sailed already.

Mostly due to wasting to many resources fixing the main game.

I was disappointed by the endings, but it was still a worthy DLC that adds a lot of stuff to the base game.

Hopefully, they're keeping the same level of quality in their next instalment. They kept many people involved in CP2077 for that next project, so it should be fine, unless they have to spend too much time with the new engine.

From what little info there is to read I don't know. I have a feeling it'll be vastly different from the first game. I think there was a few links on the forum thread about this issue.

They even moved development like I said above to the US studio in Boston. Guess we'll see in 6-7 more years, as the new trilogy and Witcher remake are the priority right now.

I kept listening to the end credit music I linked above, and I cannot but keep thinking on the endings of the game.
Wonderful stuff. I know I'm not objective, but one of them I particularly keep thinking about. the one where V ends up as an un-enhanced civilian
That one's probably still my favorite. I think that while the Phantom Liberty was very well produced and looked amazing, it didn't really hit that hard emotionally.

I'm particularly curious if Project Orion will lose on the scale of the world. CP2077 was absolutely monumental in how large and expansive it was. That was probably the best thing about it. Just constant jaw-dropping vistas.
I'm curious how UE5 will affect that. Plus they probably also will have a lot of learning pains and getting used to the tech, and expanding it with their own tech.
So I would say it's very probably the first CP on UE5 will also be a test-run. And it's only the next game that will likely truly leverage their new skills and experience.

Not my favorite but I'll agree it's the best one to fit the setting. As one one gets a happy ending in Cyberpunk. My favorite was the one were you join the nomads with Panam.

Though I did feel the expansion hit emotionally if you picked one of the branching paths.

As one of the endings content was the best I played in years.

For some reason I never liked Panam and her gang, almost at all. I mostly tolerated them.
Which is why I'll definitely be playing a female on my next playthrough. Judy was more likeable, and I loved her little quest of exploring the flooded town.

That's fine but it's CDPR's fault as the best romance-able characters with better plots are only for those who prefer the same sex. Kerry's quest were very well done as well.

I preferred Judy, too (and was a little sad a guy couldn't romance her, but I got my revenge in the 2nd playthrough :p). The flooded town quest was among my favourites, I think. Incredible mood.

I quite liked the nomads and the related quests, despite their little quirks. It was a refreshing contrast to the city. And I think it's my favourite ending story-wise, too, because it's relatively positive and the only hopeful one.

The Nomad ending is the only one I've seen, thus far.

Late Sep '23 to Oct '23, I played CP2077 another ~90 hours with Phantom Liberty included, and had a great time, but I ran out of steam before I finished the game a second time. I've been reading Cyberpunk Red stuff lately and am getting in the mood to go back.

Nomads was my favorite as well. Loved it because it had some hope at the end. Also the ending of it was so good. The emotional feels were through the roof for me and I was only her BFF since I didn't romance Panam.

C2077 first game, with good romance options, where I romanced no one. Kerry came so late in the game for me I never got around to it and wasn't really that interested.

Phantom Liberty was a gut puncher. I was very happy with the ending I did, which is the one where I kept my word to the bird.

I've also only done a Nomad run. I plan on going Streetkid whenever I get around to doing a replay. I haven't played Phantom Liberty yet.
