Combat and gearing is far more casual/simple than something like Path of Exile
How PoE combats are deeper? Most builds focus on two active skills. Free games are such a curse in my opinion, how "deep" would be PoE combats if not a free game?
I didn't think it feels much like Diablo 3 or how I remember D3. At least in terms of atmosphere and the game world.
Mechanically, yeah, but all these hack & slash type aRPGs feel similar to me in that way.
Because it's different for shooters? Perhaps you mean Diablo like? ARPG is an ambigous tag.
On start how D2 Necromancer is mechnically similar than D2 Sorceress?
Sidequests quickly become forgettable (given their multitude) while the main campaign is decent.
How you write it it looks either standard either a bad change. Do you mean mechanically generated (so souless) sidequests? But if they have a story that's a big change in the series or I weirdly don't remind well.
I got it for free which is the only reason I am trying it ... and I am liking it more than I thought I would. I won't put endless hours into it like some but I am enjoying the visuals, story, and character progression.
One more or less positive post, your post looks weird in the thread.
For me "engless hours" is the curse of Diablo like, I like play some builds once but not along many replay even less like the loot and farming design, alas it's what made the fame of D2. Still play once 2 or 3 builds if start difficulties allowed aren't too low and without collecting loot for future builds which tend destroy the difficulty of future build, can be more hours of fun than in many game genre. But despite I didn't found D3 so awful and overal enjoyed it better than some other Diablo like, I see no reason to not wait some serious sale, because it was just the weird reason of a Mac release, but now the excuse doesn't work anymore and I'm still not comfortable with that.
