Dragon Age: The Veilguard - Review

Man that was hilarious and spot on with his various rants.

Love the end when he says god damnit it's ruined just reboot the IP.

So he gave it a 3/10 and I'm sure certain members will disagree. :rotfl:

I enjoyed the game for the first 15 hrs then it was all downhill. :rotfl:

Also why does it matter who posted it first?

It wasn't a newsbit and that the difference.

No one reads the forum threads they come for the news. 🤷‍♂️

That was just my feedback from looking at stats and talking to non members.

The forum section barely has maybe six members commenting.

Anyway @HiddenX easily sloved just add thanks to him as well. 🤷‍♂️

I often find he's reaching for shit to yell about, but that was a pretty funny review.
He is, that's his whole persona and what his followers want from him, so it'd be silly for him to change it. It's more entertainment than anything else. I used to find his reviews funny but they got old pretty quick.

I haven’t played the game, nor do I plan to, but I watched his review out of curiosity. Some of his skits were funny, even if he tends to overreact. Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t invest my time on this game. I have a huge backlog, yet I still ended up buying several games in the Autumn Sale. Too many games, too little time.

Interesting. For me, it was the opposite. The first two hours were good, then came about eight hours that I still don't understand. Some sort of prolonged tutorial in a number of corridors, where companions are only partially unlocked (can't equip gear, pick talents etc), vendors aren't present, no exploration and so on. And then it finally opened up, and gradually became more and more enjoyable. Of the 80 hours in total, I'd say about 60 ranged from good to very good for me, meaning it's probably a 7 or so.

At this point I lost any temtation to try Veilguard myself.
If I ever had some Dragon Age itch I will probably go for Origin and keep myself in sweet oblivion in regard to Veilguard.

It can be enjoyable but the more I played the less I enjoyed it. It wasn't due to the short preaching with pronouns that bothered me, but the writing, and same damn puzzles.

And with how it ended they basically wiped all the past games moot and dead.

The puzzles are indeed silly. That's game design from 12 year olds.

You mean these guys? https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Executors

They predate Veilguard, and have been the source of speculation for years. They're very likely a Gaider addition, and something that has been in the lore since the start, alongside the history of the Qunari. They're definitely not a retcon.

Edit: That doesn't mean I think they're a brilliant addition, as I am rarely a fan of Illuminati style conspiracy theories/organizations.

Edit 2: You've probably already heard of them, just not by name. It's been something of an open secret that the Qunari didn't actually come to invade; they were fleeing something or someone. They were driven out of their homes, but we don't know why or how. Chances are, it's related to this.

Yeah that but I was referring to what happens to the end state of the game world. The review video touches on that subject, and it's a massive spoiler for new players.

I'm on a phone right now and adding spoiler tags takes to much effort.

They have basically been involved in most events leading up to where we are now. We still have no idea where they are going with this though, other than the fact that they've been involved somehow.

That being said, I'm not a huge fan of such plots, with some sort of super secret organization pulling the strings, but it's way too early to say anything for certain
