The Dungeon Crawler The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians is now available here. The Steam shop will be open soon, too.

The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians is an RPG Dungeon Crawler game, in First Person View, inspired by classics like Dungeon Master and Might & Magic, but featuring a modern combat system based on the triptych “tank/damage dealer/healer” mechanism.

It is real-time-with-pause, which makes it at least a bit interesting for me. Dunno if it's worth the time, though... It doesn't seem to have much regarding story, quests and role-playing. Just a random blobber.

Added to wish list. Thanks.

I'm still waiting for Dungeon Kingdom. It's been on greenlight for ages. You can kill monsters with the portcullis like in dungeon master. I use to love doing that.

One of them should be released by the time I finish Templar Battleforce. ;)

Didn't know about this, thanks for info!

I'd love to hear some comments about it :)

I got this news from Twitter.

Because I rarely read the forums it was not until today that I learned the dev is an active member of the Watch, manutoo, and that he himself had already brought us this news on October the 15th in this thread he started on the 2nd of October
Excusez-moi!
Well, I don't think somebody will complain about the extra attention. :)

The link to the thread in question links to his member profile :)

I completely missed that thread…. Then again, I don't really browse that section too often.

This looks like a cut above the typical tiny team indie - and I'm very curious to hear what people think about it.

I fear it may be too combat centric for my tastes. I always loved exploring and finding secrets the most in this genre.

You two are fast! I noticed the link was wrong, fixed it, refreshed the page and there you were. :)

Thanks though.

Note: I'm the author of the game. :)

You won't get any argument from me !

Yes, there's a lot of combat ; although you can lower a lot the difficulty level and make the combat very easy.
I also would like to add a scavenger hunt based on riddles & observation & exploring, so maybe it'd rise the interested for you. Hopefully, I'll have the time & energy to do it... :)

Yeah, only 4 classes to choose from right now, but this still looks surprisingly good for a game made by 1 guy.

Each class has 3 specializations, so actually, it's more like 12 classes (once the Rogue will be there), with the additional possibility to combine a bit the specializations within the same class.

I enjoy the challenge of combat if the mechanics are fun, so making it easy would be even worse.

No, it's more that I don't enjoy combat for its own sake - unless there's a reason to fight, beyond getting to fight more.

If there's a story to be enjoyed - or a lot of interesting things to find, then combat can be an enjoyable progression path.

But I do love exploration and riddles, so that would definitely help. I'm making a similar game myself - and I intend to make exploration to main attraction.

But, please, just do what you want with your own game ;)
