Elden Ring - Analysis @ Fextralife

Idk about best game ever, but, for me, it might be the most fun I've had in at least the last 5 years. I thought it looked interesting, but I never suspected I'd end up dropping nearly 400 hours into 1 playthrough.

There's another thread with the same video where I said that 'best' was subjective and 'best ever' nonsensical, but I agree with what Fextralife claims about the game in his video.
I didn't know the release has been delayed so long, since I wasn't following their games at the time. Despite that, they managed to sell a lot and to continue selling a lot one year later. After 150 hours in the game, I can see why it had such a success.
For me, it will probably remain at the very top with a few other great games, each having their own reason for being there.

I love Elden RIng, but it´s too similar to other souls games to be best ever. A very good and refined game but lacks originality to be the best ever. I sunk almost 200 hours in this game searching every nook and crany before doing the final part of the game, and it was a time well spent..
A mesh between gothic progression, leveling up and world building and the combat and exploration of Elden Ring would be my best ever ...I think.

Funny, how clickbait works: They even say explicitly in the video, that nobody can seriously claim, that any game is "the best game ever" and that they only use this as a means to stir interest. But still people argue about exactly that question...

I have another interpretation: the title is 'Is Elden Ring REALLY the Best Game Ever?', and that's what he says is bait. He obviously thinks that this is the best game for him, or at least a great game. Discussions on a 'best' game can only be subjective and temporary, of course.
The PC port is solid. I don't see how\why it would be better on a console.

Agree with JDR and all you need is a controller for PC if you are more comfortable. If you prefer to play on a TV screen then its a different matter.
