I only buy a game or two a year at launch, but unless there are some major bugs, I will get this right after it is released. Really looking forward to it, but I learned my lesson from Gothic 3 too - buying it day one and finding it pretty much unplayable.

Ah, now there's a world I'd like to explore! If it manages to blend those worlds of ancient tech and magic, that will be cool. Too early to tell for sure, but personally I like the look of the gameplay I've seen so far.

I haven't read the books, but I thought the TV version of Shannara was awful.

Admittedly I first read the books when I was a kid when they first came out and really enjoyed them (not sure what I'd think of them now but I still have a fondness for the world and some of the characters). I haven't watched the TV show but from what I've read, it seems to not really be representative of the books (but, yeah, it sounds awful and looks pretty bad in the trailers).
