For several reasons i have to get mail services from another supplier than my ISP. Gmail has been suggested, but due to privacy concerns I'm not interested in that one.

So I'm looking for privacy focused suppliers like protonmail, kolab ad others. Any recommendations? I prefer a suppllier that let me access mail using Thunderbird, not just via web (I don't read mail on my phone). Additionally, I prefer servces I must pay for, since (I think) free-for-everyones are more likely to go bankrupt/disappear.

pibbuR who has a gmail account, but only use it for dubious sites like rpgwatch.

I'm on tutanota.
Pros:
+ Its cheap: there is a free tier, or its $2 USD / month.
+ You can bring a custom domain
+ Privacy Focused
+ They have cross-platform windows/linux/mac and android/ios apps
Cons:
- Privacy focused means that searches can take a while while you wait for your emails to index.
- Email storage size is smaller than what google offers
