Looked at the ahievements and they are pretty interesting, this is how they should be done in games, you need to work your ass for them.

This one I'm particularly proud of

It was on GOG during Early Access, so I'm not sure it's still there.

I don't know if I like all of them, but I suppose it pushes people to explore the game and optimize their gameplay. For example, achievements like
  • Assassin (backstab 100 times with bladed weapons)
  • Luddite (destroy 100 robots and other machines)
sound a bit silly to me (there aren't too many of them luckily, and it's just my bourgeois opinion). But others like
  • Start-up Capital (Accumulate 1500 combonds in the Prologue)
  • Lone wolf (Complete the game without recruiting any companions)
will surely do a great job at pushing players. :)

EDIT: this one is better than the other one I collected above ;)
It's an epic one (0.8% for now), and it's very fun to explore the different ways to solve this particular quest:

There's another, move obvious one you should get in the process, if you try different solutions.

When you see a game has mostly those repetition based goals, you know the content is thin, dumb, annoying, boring and grindy.

Good game. Sure, combat is a little shallow, inventory mangement is bad and it lacks important information on features/abilities which sucks since you cant respec.
Playing without companions on the hardest difficulty and not having too hard of a time, but still it enjoying anyways.

It would only mean the goals are not well designed.

I'm never playing for the achievements, it just feels to me as artificially giving the game a longer life. I prefer to play it on my own terms, and I'm not a 1000-hour player so I rarely need more. But I understand that it could be fun to people who want to play more when there aren't DLCs yet.

Here there are only a few of those silly goals fortunately, in the visible ones anyway.

I enjoy looking at them once the game is finished, though. :D
