Contrary to a lot of People, overall this is my favorite gothic game. Gothic 1 has the best atmosphere and combat. Gothic 2 is the best game, but the third has my heart.

I played all three and find them not up to par with modern standards. Sure there are mods to update the graphics, but the real problem is the old aging game engine.

He is correct though about the third game being the best in the series.

I look forward to playing the remake and hope they do the next two games.
