Horizon Zero Dawn - Review @ Mortismal Gaming

Ah the joys of tediously shooting hundreds of arrows into an enemy before it finally drops dead. What fun. Interesting back story though.

Uhhh, the robots have these things called 'weak points'? There's also the option to try shooting off various important bits. Or setting up traps. Or tying them down with ropecasters. Or my personal favorite: turning them against each other. There's PLENTY of strategy in attacking those robots!

I really enjoyed HZD, but, oddly enough, I never finished the sequel which is objectively better in most ways. I still have my save though, so I'll probably get back to it sooner or later.

Not to forget sneak attacks (though I also prefer to control them, if possible).

Combat with robots is highlight, as per my opinion. Also setting is fine, but wouldnt say story is something special.
Overall, I liked these action games with light RPG elements well enough to finish them both, including DLC.

In contrast to the boss monster tactics apparently used in the video. ;) Just being sarcastic, I suppose.

I thought HFW was much better than HZD (which I thought was good) across the board (except climbing ). I'm surprised people felt the story was worse. I still haven't gotten around to Burning Shores yet.
