Well, yes, but the original Lords of the Fallen was also soulslike, so it stands to reason that the follow-up retains the genre.

I am not a souls-like fan but I actually enjoyed Lords of the Fallen. It felt more forgiving and slightly closer to playing a third-person action RPG.
