I thought we had a thread somewhere about football, but I couldn't find it except for one that was more than a decade old. So I've started a new one.

Just wanted to mention that I immensely enjoyed watching the University of Michigan beat Ohio State for the 4th year in row today. :)

I just like it when Ohio is not the victor; of course they got a win in that those folks from Flordia loss. Anyway I've disliked Ohio since the couch took out a player for intercepting a ball. Man he should have seen jail time for that act.

I looked it up - i was pretty young when it happened but like other useless data i haven't learned to forget. As a kid it was pretty brutal - i mean when i read about it now the player in question said it wasn't a big deal but when i saw it the coach liked took off his head. cloths line or something like that.

I was reading up on his history and it turned out he had a history of violence but never got spanked for it. Such is the way of life. Anyway lots of upsets yesterday.... and i'm sure when the final 12 are picked after league championships there will be whiners.

Anyone got any picks for the college football playoff? I'm watching Ohio State off to a hot start against Tennessee right now.

The real matchups start next week though. Looking forward to Notre Dame vs Georgia.

I live in Portland, Oregon, so the Ducks are my "home" team. Their first college championship is within their grasp, so I hope they can pull it off.

I never liked Oregon, but I'm rooting for them since they're a member of the Big Ten conference now. I'd like to see an Oregon vs Penn State title game.

The Ohio State University is a one-point favorite over the dirty little ducks. OSU will crush all like they did to Tennessee. The great $EC is overhyped once again. GO BUCKS 💪

Oddly enough, even though I played college ball I've never really watched much of it since leaving university. Though if someone has it on I'll watch, I can always get interested in a good contest.

I'm seeing OSU -2.5 which is surprising. I figured it would be one of those "pickem" games. Should be a great game though. It's a shame they're meeting in the quarterfinals.

Even as a Michigan fan, I enjoyed watching OSU beat down Tennessee like that. I don't like the SEC either. It'll make my day if Notre Dame beats Georgia next week.

Well.... it is only the 2nd quarter but i think Oregon might be toast.

Oh, it was over before the game started. When you have the most talent in the nation and your team is angry there's not much the opposition can do. Ducks had bad luck playing the Buckeyes in the quarters. It is time for some revenge on Ewers.

Oregon had a great season but OSU protected the pride of the Big Ten. You can't have a new team come in and own the Big Ten like that. Two more games!!
