No one does better melee combat than Platinum. If they improved enemy AI and encounter design: pure perfection.
This seems bit more "accessible" and simpler than Bayo. Seems this will be at least as good.

Considering I enjoyed the previous games despite their numerous shortcomings, my anticipation for this is palpable. With the original writer/creator and not to mention composer onboard, platinum stands to fill in what was missing while hopefully retaining the original feel and atmosphere. Hell, this game might even end up reviewing well, as strange a concept as that is.

What previous pc games did they have ?

Dunno about any previous games "they" did, but this game is supposed to be a sequel to Nier.

Last time I checked Steam/Origin/uPlay/GOG/RockstarSocialClub/whatever - there is no Nier game on PC.
So, sequel to a product so pathetic that never got to PC because noone would buy such crap? I'll skippit. They should forget PC and keep it on phones.

My wife downloaded this demo the other night and really enjoyed it - I watched and it looked really good. I admit that I'm really looking forward to this one.

Platinum? Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Transformers: Devastation and Ninja Turtles something something( eh what, it sucked).
They have their own ("philosophy") style of gameplay, core of it similar in other games, so what you see here, is how most of their other games play.
Still not sure why they calling this "rpg", seems very similar to their other games.
