It has xp/level and gear looting. It's an action "JRPG"…

Its actually not bad if you can get past the ridiculous over-the-top style

Doesn't seem like my cup of tea either and I'll likely wait for a sale if i ever play it, but it's semi-interesting due to the reception. But then, Pokimon and SIMs gets a good reception and you couldn't pay me to play some games.

Since I've been checking up on the game I also find it a little troubling that the game has a variety of issues on PC that have yet to be patched, and that players put out a day 1 patch to deal with some of it and the devs STILL haven't done anything. Instead they come out with DLC (and that DLC seems pretty silly and not really related to the base game).

Some ppl praise the story. But almost everything else puts me off so Im not sure if I could take the story seriously in this game.
