Non-RPG General News - Stars Wars Outlaws

Intel ? With their currently discovered processor bugs ?

And, what kind of monster PC will I need for that ?
Edit : Oh the link above shows that ... Should I take this into account for my new planned PC ? I bet it'll be expensive, though ...

heavy specs. but not on steam unfortunately.
If it's not on Steam, I will literally never play it. That isn't some kind of principled stance or fanboy loyalty to Steam or anything like that. It is simply a product of the fact that I've been on Steam for 20 years and there are more than enough great games there to keep me happy, so I don't pay attention to other platforms or bother with accounts on them.

He's correct. It's not on Steam at least at launch.

Most Ubisoft games don't launch on Steam though. For example, Far Cry 6 didn't come to Steam until about a year and a half after launch. Hopefully Outlaws won't be that long of a wait for Steam players.

Yeah, I know... just pointing out how much of a non-entity other platforms are for me, and how silly the whole thing is. I get that Ubi wants to make more money on initial sales, avoiding the Steam tax, and will eventually come to Steam but it just seems nuts to me that we have so many other stores and launchers, which are all vastly inferior to Steam, and just a pita.

I've got to think someone at Ubi has studied this, yet I still can't help but wonder if they'd make more money not having to invest in and maintain their own crappy store and just sell on Steam, including adding in the extra goodwill in the game community for not having to go through their store and launcher.

It's like streaming services... too many services, each offering too little.

Not surprising really as their most recent games release on their service, and the Epic Store. Steam players are lucky to play it on their service after it's patched with all DLC.

Not on steam or gog so I will wait. Won't support Epic exclusives.
It's not technically an Epic exclusive, it's just not launching on Steam or GOG (Ubisoft doesn't put most of their games on GOG anyways). It will also be available for Ubisoft Connect, and it makes more sense to get it there because the Epic version will still require Connect regardless.

It will also be on Ubisoft+ too.

Even if it were on steam you’d still have to have Ubisoft connect so I’m not sure it matters.

I have a Ubisoft subscription so I’ll definitely give it a try at least.
