I remember 10 years ago when Ubisoft said they were going to put on the breaks and take more care with the AC games, instead of churning them out so fast. This was after the bug-ridden Unity and the half-assed Rogue.

That sounds like more of a joke (the 6 months thing) to heighten the ridiculousness of their upcoming slate. That is a lot of AC games, though. I've played most of them but I skipped Mirage and don't think I'll get Shadows. The formula finally overstayed its welcome for me.

We didn't have a white Christmas this year (we rarely do), but it started snowing on new years eve, and unlike most years, 4 days later it's still snowing.

FYI: There's a car hidden in this image.

Don't know how long it will last. According to the weather people, next week temperatures (outside) will raise above 273.15K, and rain is due. But not much, and it will be freezing temperatures again towards next weekend. I suspect it's not enough to incinerate all of it, and this is kind of bad. Snow + insufficient rain = veeeery slippery ice. I predict lots of fractures the coming week.

Usually we don't have much snow here these days (unlike when I was young). So when snow falls it tends to come as a surprise => severe traffic chaos. Especially for those who haven't switched to winter tires. And who still insists on driving their cars. Ouch! Let me put it this way: If you want to get rid of your driver's license, this is a fairly reliable way of doing it.

Another factor is that since we rarely get much snow now, the capacity for removing it is naturally not sufficient to handle huge amounts of said whitish precipitation. Unlike in the northern part of our country, where it always snows for months in winter (one year when I was working in a municipality in the far north, we had snow from October to May).

pibbuR who of course likes the current weather. And who (looking at you @Corwin) therefore sees no reason to go to Australia any time soon.

PS. I once was in San Antonio in January. One cold night they had undercooled rain, which immediately froze upon contacting pavement and whatever else it touched. Slippery roads. Complete chaos. Queues and accidents. Shops didn't open as people couldn't get to work. I guess winter tires aren't common over there. DS.

I always knew there was something off about you. ;)

The weather in Texas can be pretty volatile. It's one of the hottest states for a good portion of the year and yet gets quite cold in the winters. No, thank you.

Some of you (like the carnifex) may think this is not as nice.

pibbuR (the off one) who doesn't
Sitting inside watching the snow indeed is nice.

In the north of Germany we had half a day of snow last week. At that time we had a visit from a Mexican who was lucky to witness his first snow ever. He just couldn't stop watching the snow falling.
