Personal things you don't need to know

Did you watch the moon eclipse?

Here it was visible between 05 and 07. I didn't expect to see it. Most like it would be covered by clouds, but actually now the sky was clear. Yay!

Then the moon decided to hide behind the hill in the west. I'm pi*ed!!!!

I realize since a few weeks ago, that there - seemingly - appears to be some kind of 10 year cycle of withdrawal and coming forth again with me.
The last peak was in 2016, where I withdrew so much from all society - especially meaning : the Watch - that I really missed to make myself clear to be a kickstarter donor of Divinity : Original Sin 2. I simply failed to send in myself to either the then forum's admin , neither to Larian. And because of that, I have nothing from that phase/game than this forum's title. But it's okay for me now, as I've come over it. It doesn't matter much to me anymore. In 2016, I missed some more than that in other fields, but that is so long ago now that it barely matters to me anymore ...

Now, we have 2025. The next peak is coming, and I already feel myself ... like I'm withdrawing slowly but surely from everything again.
So, please don't be surprised if my replies here become more and more seldom ...

I'm going to spend my weekend gaming with two of my oldest friends (one I've known since we went to kindergarten 45 years ago). We start at 10 am and will dive into a variety of games, usually starting with a round of Age of Mythology. Later on we will probably construct a machine in Satisfactory, have some couch-coop, wrecking our cars in Wreckfest, try to survive with the Sons of the forest and so on. All this will be accompanied by lots of chips, sweets, softdrinks, pizza and maybe a beer or two. When we tire of gaming we plan to watch Alien: Romulus.
We've been looking forward to this "PC-Session" for quite some time. Always good fun.
And on Monday I have a day off for regeneration ;)

Brings back memories and sounds fun. But the hauling of desktop computers around is probably the worst part about that. Or do you guys use laptops?
I haven't done things like that since I was a teenager. We later kind of gave that up to going to an internet-cafe. But that was far from perfect, since you're not in the intimacy of your own home.
I think that's when I kind of gave up multiplayer games. You just don't get the same experience when person you're competing with is not in the same room, so you can banter and shit-talk back and forth. And over mics is not just the same, I found.

Luckily our host has the luxury of owning three gaming - PCs so that we don't need to move our equipment. Actually he has four, one is in another room, connected to the TV. :)
But back in the days we used to bring our PCs which included the logistics problem of moving those heavy and voluminous CRT displays around.
During the pandemic we played a few times via the Internet but as you said, it just isn't the same.

I'm in pain. My body hurts. In other words I'm feeling not too bad.

I've been exercising cardio for years using my indoor bike. But, growing older (recently passed level 70), training muscular strength is also very important. So I considered starting said type of training in the local studio. And considered. And considered. And considered. .... considered.

But yesterday, after being just a supporting member a couple of months, I had my first session yesterday. Due to my cardio training legs are just fine, But the muscles above, up to but not including facial musculature ... ouch!!!!

But, actually, this is kind of good pain, after all they tell me I've really used my body. And it will only last a few days. Should be fit for fight, and next session on Friday methinks.

Wouldn't work for me, as I like training.
