James Earl Jones, Distinguished Actor and Voice of Darth Vader, Dies at 93

James Earl Jones, the distinguished and prolific actor in films, TV and theater known for providing the voice of Darth Vader in "Star Wars," has died.

He was 93, but it still hits hard. So many great performances.

Sad day. Guy was completely a legend, but I'm also reminded of that thing he could have done...

All those massive roles, going back to Dr. Strangelove and I caught him once in a production of Othello, back in the day. RIP.

Ah, that's sad news to start the day. Just awesome in so many roles. One of my favourites was in Hunt for Red October.

It's interesting to not have any emotional attachment to his characters, so for me he's just another actor that passed away. RIP.
I never got into Star Wars, so Vader never struck a cord with me. Outside of just being a very recognizable character. I think I especially recognized him after Mel Brook's parody of Star Wars.
To this day I'm not sure 100% if I saw the whole original trilogy. There's so much "watching" them through osmosis on the internet that I cannot be sure if I had actually sat down and fully watched them all, or just saw bits and pieces.

Anywya, the actor did have a cool sounding and very recognizable voice. That I can attest to. RIP

Only today I learned in how many movies he also played a role. Most impressive.
