RPGWatch - Game of the Year Awards 2024 - Best RPG

First places kinda match my 2024 backlog priority list, with some exceptions ... most notably position no. 5. So all in all, looks good to me.

Oh, missed the voting. But to be fair, I also couldn't really have contributed much.
In terms of new RPGs I only played King Arthur 9th Legion (which was ok but below expectations)
Most of the other RPGs were from the 90s...
Looking forward to Skald though once there is a localized version.

Hope this year will get more interesting. But unfortunately it means that I also missed the "looking forward to" voting :(
Though I guess, the games I have on my radar there are also mostly considered "exotic".

I didn't vote because my RPG of the year wasn't on the list (FF Rebirth).

I'm not a pixel art disciple, but Drova & Skald both look like they might stand on their own as good games, graphic style notwithstanding, so I may try them someday.

Drova is such a great game and certainly deserves the award. It got fun and great combats that never get overly repetitive, an intriguing story, a world that is interesting to explore, and a strong Gothic vibe.

Yes, I had a feeling the Gothic inspired game might be the winner, lol.

Not surprised as I said on the other thread. Fallout London a free game was the best RPG I played in 2024 and it came in fourth. Drova is well deserved but I hated Dragons Dogma 2.

Don't really care about Skald either but enough of you did to get it second place.

As said before 2024 was shit for large funded and published RPGs. 🤷‍♂️

Drova won? What a nice surprise and hilarious since i dont think i saw this game catching top n in all the articles posted here from different sites.

It does get one of the highest appreciation rating I have ever seen for a game on steam, though.

(Edit : Yish, just noticed that a few autocorrect changes. My sentence should make more sense now 😄 )

Hmm why wasn't it on the list? I'm actually giving Remake a second try just because I hear so much good things about Rebirth.

Because it's PS5 exclusive it seems.
PC Release is 2025
