1985, so about 5 years prior. CF were one of those bands that were not super famous but nevertheless quite influential in certain genres. They seem to get mentioned quite often in interviews with death and doom bands. (Also, Trouble gets mentioned quite often for some reason, but they seem a lot less genre adjacent)

How about an album track from an underappreciated band of the 80s


edit- looks like you've got me by a year. 11 is a little young- I'd say 13 is more representative of a person's musical "foundation", but here's the good stuff from age 11.

It honestly doesn't get much respect yet I'm a fan of the Final Cut, one of Pink Floyd's albums. The one lacking person on this album is Richard Wright, the band was simply having far too many squabbles at the time, it's amazing that the album actually got done, tbh. So that's what I was listening to this afternoon.
