Decent song overall, but just love Pino's bass work on this one:

Today is dedicated to Procupine Tree.

Here's a live, shortened version of "The Sky Moves Sideways, phase 1" from their 3rd album, "The Sky Moves Sideways":

And let's not forget "Dislocated Day" from the same album:

I still remember the first time I heard them playing together in some dive in Seattle. Nirvana was loud, the only member I knew was Grohl from his Scream days, and I thought they'd never make it. Wrong!

After reading some terrible news about Billy Joel's mental health/wellbeing, I decided to cheer myself by listening to this iconic musician. He's brought joy to millions and I hope he can continue to do so for a few more decades.

Thanks for this heads up, I missed that news. Very sad news, as Billy's music was an integral part of my discovery of pop music in my teenage years. Talk about a guilty pleasure.
I saw him perform twice during his tour of Europe in 2018. Especially the concert in Dublin was memorable, I can't remember ever seeing so many smiling faces in a concert.

Indeed, I've been fortunate enough to have caught him live three times, and once was my son's very first concert, with both Joel and Elton John (!!!). Each of the three times that I saw him live were great, no let-downs, another one of those iconic performers that's even better in person. I'm totally jealous of you catching him live in Dublin!!

It is hard as we get older and our musical icons are also infuriatingly getting old (and some have the audacity to die) ...

Jazz guitarist Pat Metheny (just over 70) just cancelled the China leg of his current tour for a 'medical procedure' (assumed to be cardiac related but very minor), but fortunately picks back up in Australia this week. He has toured in one musical format or another for nearly every year of the past 50 and jokingly said recently that he finds touring more relaxing than being at home because that is more of how he lives.

I'm supposed to see him perform live again in October, which will be about the 12th time over nearly 45 years. At some point for either of us it will be the last one, so I will just appreciate each opportunity.

Black Sabbath all day long, started with the classics and then moved into the post-Osborne years and beyond. Honestly, no matter the era, these musicians know their crafts and are well worth listening to.
