Last night I felt like reliving a concert so I watched Nirvana from Reading, '92, an astounding performance and again a reminder of just how good these three blokes jammed.

While I was playing Disco Elysium I was flailing about for decent music to listen to and landed squarely on King Crimson....it was perfect. And still is!

Last night I felt like reliving a concert so I watched Nirvana from Reading, '92, an astounding performance and again a reminder of just how good these three blokes jammed.

Funnily enough, I just read about Nirvana's appearance there in 1991 in the autobiography of Mogwai's lead guitarist ("Spaceships over Glasgow"). The author was already quite familiar with Nirvana but the songs from Nevermind hadn't been released yet. He vividly remembers being blown away by "Smells like teen spirit", which he heard for the first time there.

Speaking of festivals - I went to one last weekend ("Hurricane" in northern Germany). Main act was The Prodigy, who I saw for the first time. Crazy energy!

Another highlight was Sam Fender, whose music I didn't know before. He connected very well with the audience and delivered a powerful set full of positive energy.

A bit more obscure were Nova twins with their two glamorous frontwomen. Not completely my cup of tea but the noises they produced with their bass and guitar were sublime
