The language thread

I know it ... but I have difficulties remembering its name ... It sounds a bit like coming from Bavaria ...
Plus, it reminds me of a certain song by The Blues Brothers : "Rawhide" ...

LISP = Lots of Irritating Silly Paranthesis
LISP=(Lots_of(Irritating(Silly(Paranthesis))))

Or for the lesser known language: Lithp=(Lotth_of(Irritating(Thilly(Paranthethith))))

(p(ibbuR))

PS. I did learn Lisp (Scheme dialect) at uni, but the only thing i remember is there were lots of irritating silly paranthesis. DS.

PPS. The CAD system Autocad depends heavily on Lisp. Not familiar with Lisp? Apparently you can use ChatGBT to make scripts. DS.

"Dread" is a curious English word. No matter what I do with it, it almost always retains its written form : "Dread".

I learned 'pure' lisp in the days before common lisp. At the time it was a hot thing for 'expert systems' which is sort of like ai but it wasn't called ai. I found hte language useful for a limited targeted application but since i haven't touched it in several decades the only thing i remember is functions and atoms.

The German word "lispeln" means to have a certain kind of "accent" which is, as far as I remember, made through touching the fore front of the middle teeth with the top of the tongue when speaking the "s" consonant. Example : "Er lispelt." Noun : "Das Lispeln".
It's a bit similar to this : Try speaking words with an "s" sound - like in "sound" with an English "th" sound (like in "the") instead of an "s" sound.

Which is why we have "lithp", one of the so called "lesser known (joke) programming languages". It's just like lisp, only with all 's'es replaced by 'th'.

By the way, I just noticed that "Wealth" and "Health" both sound very similar ... ;)
