The Last Stanley Cup Playoffs thread

Hellybuck is once again showing what he is made of
Should be hilarious if he loses this series but wins the Hart.

On the "kicked in" goal, it's obviously the kick was directed to his stick but from what I saw it was actually the defender Barron that hit and directed it at his own net. The panelists and the NHL reviewers themselves didn't see it. Its the only way that puck changes directions.

And Skinner as usual. lol. Edmonton only has a chance if their AHL backup is net and not their #1 goaltender.

One of the panelists on Turner - I think it was Lundqvist - who was saying that a #1 goaltender in the playoffs is a thing of the past.

Sometimes the defense has to remember their role and not leave the goaltender to fend for himself. I know everyone wants to slam the puck into the net, yet knowing your role can save your team much anguish.

I think the Jets really need to find a backup goalie they can trust to play 30 or so games.

If it's a mystery to them why playing Helleybuck for 60+ games every season leads to regular season success but being unable to deliver in the playoffs, it shouldn't be.

Good game. I saw it was 0-0 in OT and turned it on right before Edmonton scored.

Leafs got embarrassed tonight. Are they going to lose 4 straight?

Edmonton advances, woot! Maybe a new dynasty is in the making.

And aye, the Leafs are in dire straights indeed. Even should they win this series they've got real problems with defense and goal-tending, and honestly I've no clue how they'll even get past the Panthers at this point. It could easily end in a sweep.

And the Caps are officially done. I had no horse in the race between them and the Canes.

Edit: And at the moment I'm taking a significant amount of comfort from the fact that the Jets and the Stars are making each other look quite mortal.

I was hoping to see Washington go further yet they folded with little ceremony before the Hurricanes. The game tonight promises to be a somber one.

Yeah the Leafs are hanging in there, yet I honestly don't know what they'll do even if they win. That lack of defense can only go so far. I hope Winnipeg can get a victory tonight!
