The Last Stanley Cup Playoffs thread

Edmonton should easily vanquish Dallas, yet these matches often play out in ways you'd never expect. For example, I thought Washington would steamroll NC and that didn't even come close to happening.

Go Oilers!!

I like our chances against the Stars. Supposedly their forward depth is supposed to be equal to ours? But who's been scoring other than recently acquired Rantanen?

They have a good first pairing in Harley and Heiskanen. But after that? Even their supposed shutdown guy, Elsa Lindell, has mobility issues. And they're turning to Ceci and Petrovic, who couldn't cut it in Edmonton?

My wildcard point of concern is if Oettinger goes off on a heater. Kuemper and LA's defensive wall was supposed to stifle us as well. We'll see.

I will be at the Leafs game tonight...maybe. I was offered Tickets from a work acquaintance. They offered them to me because they are a client with the firm I worked with. And when I say I worked with, I no longer work with them. I retired a few months ago and the ticket "offerer" does not know that. Pretty sure if I tell them that, the tickets will disappear. Do I tell them before the game, or during? Dilemma, dilemma... ;-).

I guess the way to look at it is this:
If there's a prid quo pro hiding in the weeds, that's naughty behavior and they are out of line, deserving of "punishment" (getting nothing for their payoff). If there's no such thing involved, then you've got nothing to be concerned about. Either way, you go to the game. ;)

If you're a fan, accept the tickets with gratitude and enjoy the show! So far it's a riveting game seven. No excuses tonight Leafs, you've even got home field advantage, get it done!

Nod, once Florida racked up those two first, quick goals the writing was on the rink. Too bad for the Leafs, no one can say they didn't have their chances in this whole series.

I just realized that three of these four teams were also in the conference finals last year. Carolina is the only team that wasn't.

I'm hoping for an Edmonton vs Florida rematch.

I honestly don't see much hope for the Canes. There's no answer on their roster for the Panthers BS.

The Oilers would have been in the same kind of pickle without the additions of guys like Frederic and Kane.
