Yeah, I saw that posted somewhere last night. I thought it was a photoshop job at first, but no, it's really there. :)

As far as the episode itself, I thought it was pretty lame. In particular...

The scenes with Jaime and Brienne were terrible. Not sure what the writers were thinking there.

I was looking for one of three things to happen. The Scion would stand up, laugh at everyone, and renew the slaughter. Option two: Bran's eyes would go blue, since he was actually touched by the Scion and could have a part of him within. Final choice: Similar to Bran, Arya has also been touched, and could manifest the true north also.

Sadly, none of those things happened. I didn't think it could get much worse than the previous episode, but I was wrong.

Chernobyl (first episode). Really great. This should be shown in schools to explain Socialism and how it works. It was very hard to not think of Sweden in the many scenes of total denial and cover ups, and the subtle (and not so subtle) threats that goes along with it.

Looking forward to see more.

@joxer;
suite yourself.. it will never be a documentary no, for obvious reasons.. i personally really like adaptations like this, even if it's never 100% correct it can give a small insight, and it can be good to have it from several sources (books, internet, tv-series.. the somewhat-truth is in there, hopefully.)

It could have been a thriller or crime, even a horror show, but no, they went with boredom plain drama instead. Just because drama. It's drama that gets showered with 10/10 on imdb, who cares if it's boring, scores sell.

A documentary would be more interesting but I doubt anyone would fund that as series.

Not sure if I mentioned before, Cobra Kai season 2 is available on youtube red (or as they call it premium, lol).

Anyone watching "What We Do in the Shadows"?
Said I can't care less about it, but you'll be happy to know that:

Couldnt care less what genre IMDB say something is, it's the last thing i look for, it's better to judge that for yourself. It's drama, crime, horror i'd say.. though not horror in the traditional sense..

Seriously. I learned back in the eighties and nineties not to go by what people might recommend via bulletin boards/internet, it's much better to test the product out yourself, or inquire with relatives/friends first. To this day it amazes me that people would simply accept recommendations from folks that they don't even know.

For every show and movie (almost!) there will be a 10/10 review; "best story ever, best characters i've seen" and a 1/10 review; "worst story ever, worst characters i've seen".

So which one is accurate? well, probably neither, but yeah..

That's why you should always breeze through "most recent" user reviews on sites like imdb or mydramalist.
Initial user reviews tend to be 10/10s bullshit paid by distributors.

What Carn says is true, the best recommendation is when a friend you trust (their taste) says something is Worth watching. The problem is friends didn't watch everything you're interested in, not because they didn't want to, but it's impossible for one person to watch absolutely everything that exists.

yes you can't judge series or movies until they have at lest 10.000+ votes, imo. but again, even then it's of course better to see it yourself… IMDB can give an overall idea of what to expect, if a movie has 3/10 and 10.000 votes it's most likely not gonna end up like a 8/10 movie.. though i've seen very low ranked comedy and horror that i've enjoyed (probably not in the 8/10 range but also not as bad as the IMDB score)

Set / setting is also important for movies, just as they are for other things.. i've seen movies which i've rated 5/10 the first time and then 8.5+/10 the next because i was in the mood for that exact movie..

I did watch the first episode of that Chernobyl mini-series, I thought it was rather good. I'll be watching the rest of them as they are released.

Almost time for Thrones again. Hopefully it all goes off tonight.

I'm wondering if someone might twig that the dragon could be used to drop stuff from a great height, rather than flying helpfully into the surface-to-dragon artillery. :p

Just finished. Overall, it could have been a lot worse, but I was definitely disappointed by…

The way they killed off Lord Varys. There was very little build up to it, and I always hoped he'd be one of the people still standing in the end.
