Our outage was one full day, roughly about thirty hours, then partial the next two days as they tried to repair anything else that looked faulty. FPL needs to simply bite the bullet and bury cable, they were doing this in Maryland during the mid-eighties when I moved there because of the damage tornados often did. Yes it'll cost bucks upfront yet they'll save a lot on the back end the next time a hurricane comes rolling along.
