I played Card Hunter in the past, it was pretty fun, if simple. Eventually they discontinued development, so I ran out of content.
They had planned to make a sequel with better graphics and a more 3d look, but they never got the funding as far as I remember. Still worth playing if the tastes align, it has some extra DLCs you can pay for, but even the base game is fine on its own.
I also tried Waven when it was released not too long ago, but it wasn't my type of game.
